LIED CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS

The 20,000 SF, two-story Lied Center for the Visual Arts replaced an outdated facility and was designed to support the needs of Art majors and the Fine Arts requirements for other degrees. An exhibit gallery for professional work anchors the building and is the primary focus of the public spaces. The facility provides studio classrooms on two levels with full-height exterior glass to capitalize on abundant north light organized along a multi-level circulation corridor that enhances student and staff interaction. Faculty studios/offices are located on the south side, enabling faculty to create, collaborate, and communicate within a functional daylit space.
